28 Years Later Trailer Drops: 22 Years After it Debuted
The much-anticipated trailer for 28 Years Later is finally here, reuniting legendary director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland. It’s been 22 years since 28 Days Later debuted.
The latest picture stars Killing Eve’s Comer, The Fall Guy’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes. In the teaser, all three are seen fighting zombies.
It’s been nearly three decades since the fury virus escaped a biological weapons facility, and although some have discovered ways to survive among the afflicted, others remain under strict isolation.
One such group of survivors lives on a small island linked to the mainland by a single, heavily fortified causeway. When one of the gang members departs the island on a journey to the dark centre of the mainland, he discovers mysteries, wonders, and horrors that have changed not just the infected but also other survivors.
Although the teaser doesn’t reveal much, some fans are already predicting that Cillian Murphy’s Jim, the protagonist of the previous film, may return to a surprising position for this sequel.
The speculation is that one of the zombies in the trailer is Jim, though this has not been proven. Murphy is a producer in the picture, although he is unlikely to play a substantial role on screen.
It’s feasible that Jim is hidden as a zombie in plain sight.
The film’s summary describes a dismal but intriguing story. Decades after the Fury virus escaped a biological weapons facility, quarantine is still a cruel reality. Survivors are clinging to life on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, reinforced causeway.
When members of this colony travel to the mainland, they encounter mutated horrors—both infected and human—that blur the distinction between monster and survivor.
