Selena Gomez has announced her engagement to singer Benny Blanco by posting a photo of a huge engagement ring on Instagram with the statement “Forever begins now”. The couple acknowledged their relationship last year.
Taylor Swift, a pop singer, was one among the celebrities who congratulated them.
Gomez, a two-time Grammy nominee, shared other photos of herself beaming while wearing the ring and one of Blanco embracing her in what looks to be a closet.
Cardi B, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Suki Waterhouse, and musician Lil Nas X expressed their best wishes.

In an Instagram Story posted with 423 million followers, the app’s most-followed woman displayed a video of herself ringing loved ones on the phone. “Yes to this,” she says, eliciting cries from the other end of the video conversation.
Before confirming their engagement, Gomez and record producer Benny Blanco collaborated on the songs I Can’t Get Enough in 2019 and Single Soon in 2023.
Benny Blanco, who has collaborated with Rihanna, Calvin Harris, and Justin Bieber, was effusive about his love on the Drew Barrymore Show in May.
“She’s just like the best, most genuine person,” he said during the chat program.

Gomez previously had a high-profile on-and-off relationship with fellow artist Justin Bieber and dated The Weeknd in 2017.
The Texas native rose to prominence as a young actress on Barney and Disney Channel before pursuing a career as a singer and actor.
According to Bloomberg, she joined the billionaire celebrity rich list this year, garnering $1.3 billion, primarily from her Rare Beauty make-up brand.
On Monday, she won two Golden Globe nominations: one for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the operatic musical Emilia Pérez and another for Best Actress in a TV Series, musical, or Comedy for her recurring role in Only Murders in the Building.
