Gordon Ramsay, the world’s most famous chef, is counting his blessings after surviving a terrifying bike accident that could have ended much worse. Ramsay disclosed in an Instagram post over the weekend that the accident occurred while he was riding his bike in Connecticut.

Despite looking like a “purple potato” with a massive bruise on his belly, the Food Stars host thankfully did not break any bones or sustain any life-threatening injuries. While telling his story, a visibly disturbed Ramsay emphasised the significance of wearing a helmet. He even shared a photo of his wrecked post-accident helmet on Instagram.

“Honestly, you need to wear a helmet. I don’t mind how short the voyage is. I don’t care how much these helmets cost. But they’re critical. Even on a short journey, the kids must wear a helmet. “Now I’m lucky to be standing here,” he admitted.

Gordon Ramsay received an outpouring of sympathy from fellow celebrities and fans

“I’m glad you’re okay! “Thank God for the helmet,” Dr. Phil wrote.

“I’m glad you’re safe, Chef, whom God Bless and no man can curse,” remarked Chef Scotley Innis, a previous Hell’s Kitchen contestant.

“Get well soon, mate,” said professional cyclist Mark Cavendish.

“Jefe I am so grateful for your communication and that you are okay. Sending lots of love. Chef Aaron Sanchez from MasterChef wrote, “Happy Father’s Day.”

“Chef!! “Fast recovery,” wrote Nyesha Arrington of Next Level Chef.

Others on social media advised the restaurateur to take it easy after the mishap.

“I am relieved that you are still alive. Please take a rest. Do not shoot for television shows. That bruising is large. It must still be quite painful. And your hand was still shaking. “Be careful,” read one comment.

“This is an important message, and I’m delighted you’re okay, Gordon. “Rest up,” another user said.
