India defeated Pakistan to capture the World Championship of Legends 2024.

(VOR News) – On Saturday, the India final match of the 2024 World Championship of Legends (WCL) tournament took place at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

India’s champions prevailed over Pakistan’s champions in the competition.

The result was five wickets different from the previous one.

The Men in Blue’s assistance enabled them to effectively pursue the 157-run goal in the final over, thereby securing the first competition of its kind.

India’s openers, Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayadu, were able to establish a rapid pace in their pursuit of the total score by hitting boundaries in the first over of the match. As a result, India was allowed to resume their run after the running total was achieved.

Pakistan was able to regain the lead in the game by claiming two wickets in a short period of time. After Suresh Raina (4) and Uthappa (10) were eliminated from the competition, they were able to regain possession of the game.

In spite of this, the coupling of Rayadu and Gurkeerat Singh was instrumental in their success, as it enabled them to score sixty runs and facilitate India’s comeback. Rayadu achieved fifty runs off thirty balls by hitting five fours and two sixes. The score that Gurkeerat received was 34, which exceeds the target of 33.

Yusuf Pathan was the primary factor in India’s triumph in close proximity to obtaining the goal wicket. He achieved thirty runs in a brief period of time after only sixteen balls.

The captain, Yuvraj, was able to maintain one end and score 15 runs off of 22 deliveries without being out for the duration of this period. Irfan Pathan was the individual who executed the shot that ultimately proved to be the game-winning goal, as per Sohail Tanvir.
