Nashville, Tennessee – Morgan Wallen, a country music singer, has been detained after allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of a recently opened six-story club in downtown Nashville.

Metro Nashville Police stated that Wallen, 30, was booked into jail early Monday on three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

A chair was hurled from the rooftop of Chief’s Bar and landed on Broadway near two police officers, prompting the accusations.

According to the arrest affidavit, the chair landed about 3 feet (1 meter) from cops, who spoke with witnesses and watched security footage. Witnesses informed police that they saw Wallen take up a chair, throw it over the roof, and laugh about it.

Worrick Robinson, Wallen’s attorney, confirmed the singer’s arrest late Sunday and claimed she was completely cooperating with police. He was freed from detention and had a court appointment planned for May 3.

Wallen is one of the most well-known figures in the country at present. His third studio album, 2023’s “One Thing at a Time,” was the best-selling album in the United States last year. Los Angeles — A lawsuit naming Sean “Diddy” Combs as a co-defendant claims that his son Christian “King” Combs sexually abused a lady working on a boat hired by his father.

According to the lawsuit filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Sean Combs engineered the circumstances that led to the assault and then paid to cover it up. It’s the latest in a slew of lawsuits alleging the producer and music tycoon of sexual assault, and it comes amid a federal sex trafficking investigation that prompted Homeland Security investigators to raid his Los Angeles and Miami properties last week.

The Associated Press normally does not identify persons who claim to have been sexually abused unless they come out publicly, as O’Marcaigh has. She also agreed to be named through her solicitors.

Aaron Dyer, an attorney for Sean and Christian Combs, described the complaint as “lewd and meritless.”

“We will be filing a motion to dismiss this outrageous claim,” Dyer stated.

Dyer described the inquiry that resulted in last week’s raids as “nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”

Sean Combs, who chartered the yacht for the holidays in 2022, “had full control of the staff and premises” and established an environment in which her assault was not only accepted but encouraged.

O’Marcaigh, who was 25 at the time, claimed that when Christian Combs, then 24, arrived late one night, he appeared intoxicated and began paying her unwanted attention.

She stated that the two were in a music studio on board the ship, where producer Rodney Jones, who filed his lawsuit in February, was instructed to be available around the clock for Sean Combs to work on his upcoming album.

In the lawsuit, O’Marcaigh claimed that Christian Combs insisted on her drinking tequila shots, and she did so out of responsibility.

According to the lawsuit, he became increasingly aggressive with her, violently seizing her arm as she attempted to leave the situation and then touching her. The suit claims that the beverages caused everything to blur unnaturally quickly.

Microphones in the studio, where Jones was instructed to record everything, captured their conversation, and the lawsuit contains a transcript in which O’Marcaigh demands that Christian Combs cease molesting her.

The suit claims that he continued the assault in the ship’s movie theater, which was utilized as a spare sleeping area and where she was looking for a place to stay the night because all of the rooms were booked before another crew member intervened, and he stopped.

O’Marcaigh informed the yacht’s captain about the assault the next morning, but she claims that when Combs handed him a substantial sum of money the same day, the captain neglected to investigate or take any action.

According to the lawsuit, O’Marcaigh was dismissed in retribution and has since been unable to find work in the music sector, where she had hoped to advance her career. According to the report, she has been experiencing significant mental anguish since 2022.

He noted that U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote criticized Blackburn in a separate lawsuit on Wednesday and referred him to a disciplinary committee for a “pattern of behavior” in which he “improperly files cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly.”

Blackburn answered via email that “a referral is not a sanction” and that Combs’ lawyer’s comment was an attempt to “deflect and distract.”

“Christian Combs sexually assaulted Ms. O’Marcaigh, and we have it on tape,” Blackburn told reporters.

A former Kanye West employee has filed a lawsuit accusing the controversial singer of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, among other claims.

Trevor Phillips filed the case on Tuesday against the rapper, whose legal name is Ye, his Yeezy brand, and Donda Academy, a K-12 Christian private school in Los Angeles.

Phillips claims in the lawsuit that West “treated the black staff considerably worse than white employees,” describing the prejudice as “severe.”

“Even when class was in session, Kanye would scream and berate black employees, while never even as much raising his tone at the white staff,” according to the complaint. “Often, Kanye targeted Phillips – a black man – not just with this disparate and harassing behavior, but complete and utter disdain.”

The ex-employee further claims that he saw West “spread hate, profess antisemitic tropes and lies, threaten the LGBTQ+ community, and almost sexually stimulate himself.”

“Already at a disadvantage because of his skin color, once Phillips pushed back against Kanye’s bigotry and instructions to violate the law, he became an even bigger target,” according to the lawsuit. “In return, Kanye responded mercilessly, with constant harassment, humiliation, and attempts to both mentally control and destroy Phillips.” Kanye’s hostility against the plaintiff eventually culminated in a profane lashing in front of students and their parents. “Kanye even threatened Phillips with physical violence.”

According to the lawsuit, Phillips was hired in November 2022 to work for West’s Yeezy fashion business, but his role later grew to include work at Donda Academy, the school West created and named after his late mother.

In October 2022, West wore a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt and dressed many Black models in clothes with the same message at his YZY runway show during Paris Fashion Week; the Anti-Defamation League has linked the slogan to the Ku Klux Klan.

Later that month, in a 45-minute “Drink Champs” podcast episode, the rapper made a slew of obscene and antisemitic remarks, resulting in financial consequences for him and his branding partners.

West proceeded to make comments that some regarded as antisemitic and anti-Black.

The suit refers to West’s comments and social media posts from the period.

“During those interviews, Kanye boastfully and deplorably championed his deep-rooted antisemitism and hate for the Jewish people, echoing tropes that have stereotyped Jews for much of history,” according to the complaint.

The lawsuit also claims that West “proudly touted his discriminatory conspiracies of Jews during a meeting at the Donda Academy.” According to Phillips, “on several occasions, witnessed Kanye preach to his staff obscenities.”

“Fearing for their jobs and also to de-escalate Kanye’s absurdities (so that the two present school children did not hear), the school staff did their best to ignore him,” according to the complaint. “However, in front of the two schoolchildren, Kanye continued his dangerous rhetoric.”

According to the suit, Kanye “started to openly discuss how he only likes to date white women,” and at one point, told two schoolchildren “that he wanted them to shave their heads and that he intended to put a jail at the school – and that they could be locked in cages.”

The school purportedly closed in 2023, but the lawsuit states that “on information and belief, Donda Academy still operates to this day.”

CNN contacted the Donda Academy for comment. The phone number listed for the school on the California Department of Education website is no longer active.

Phillips also claims in the lawsuit that he had an uncomfortable three-hour discussion with West during which his then-boss bragged about Hitler and declared, “Gay people are not true Christians.”

According to the lawsuit, Phillips’ employment with Donda Academy ended in August 2023.

Phillips is seeking a jury trial and at least $35,000 in damages.

West expressed regret to the Jewish community in December 2023 for any “unintended outburst” that his “words or actions” may have caused.
