Sabrina Carpenter Sweeps ARIA Charts: No. 1 Album and Top Three Singles
Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating a major milestone as her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, marking her first time at the top in Australia.
Released through Island/Universal, Short n’ Sweet is Carpenter’s sixth album and her first to break into the top 10; her previous highest-charting LP, Emails I Can’t Send, peaked at No. 27 in 2022.
The album’s success ends a four-week streak at the summit by Australian artists including Lime Cordiale, Tones & I, Amy Shark, and Cold Chisel, signifying a significant shift in the charts.
Sabrina Carpenter’s winning streak continues as her latest single, “Taste,” debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, followed by “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” in the second and third spots, respectively.
Sabrina Carpenter Claims Top Three Spots on ARIA Singles Chart
This accomplishment marks a rare trifecta, with all three tracks achieving top-chart status.
According to ARIA, Sabrina Carpenteris the first artist to claim the top three positions on the singles chart since April 2024 when her friend and tour mate Taylor Swift dominated the entire top 10 with tracks from The Tortured Poets Department.
Sabrina Carpenter also places another seven tracks in the top 50, becoming the first artist since Drake in 2018 to achieve three ARIA No. 1s within the same year.
The ARIA Albums Chart’s No. 2 spot goes to Australian indie band Teenage Dads with their second album, Majordomo (Chugg/MGM), while Sydney pop-punk group Stand Atlantic claims No. 3 with Was Here (Hopeless Records/RKT), both setting new career bests.
Irish alternative rock band Fontaines D.C. lands at No. 6 with their fourth album, Romance (XL/Inertia), a significant rise from their previous albums, A Hero’s Death and Skinty Fa.
Rounding out the top 10, Travis Scott’s 10th-anniversary reissue of his 2014 mixtape, Days Before Rodeo (Epic/Sony), debuts at No. 9. Although the original mixtape did not chart, Scott has three ARIA top 10 albums to his name, including two No. 1s: Astroworld (2018) and Utopia (2023).
