Kyle and Mauricio are correcting the record.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star came to social media on July 3 to confirm that, despite split rumors, she and her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, are not divorcing.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today…” read a joint statement posted on Kyle’s Instagram. “Any claims that we are divorcing are false.”

“However, yes, we have had a rough year, the most challenging one of our marriage,” the message said. But we both adore and esteem one other enormously. There has been no impropriety on the side of anyone.”

“Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately,” the couple said at the end of their note. While it is fun to speculate, please do not invent bogus stories to fit a more lurid narrative. Thank you for all of your love and support.”

The couple’s joint statement comes just hours after a source told People, “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof.” They are still friendly as they figure out what is next for them and their family.”

Kyle and Mauricio, the founder of the real estate company The Agency, met for the first time in 1994. Kyle was pregnant with their first child, Alexia, who is now 27, when the pair married in 1996. They also have two children, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.

The reality personality was a single mother to Farrah, now 34, from her former marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie at their meeting.

“When I met Mauricio in 1994, everything fell into place,” Kyle wrote in a BravoTV.com piece published in 2010. “I was madly in love with him, and he loved both Farrah and me.”

Kyle and Mauricio opened up to The Knot about their 25th wedding anniversary in 2021 and what it meant to them.

“It’s one of my proudest achievements.” “I mean, I think it’s refreshing, because in this town, being married for 25 years is a big deal,” the reality star explained. “And we’re really proud to be good role models for our daughters.”

“I intend to spend the rest of my life with her,” Mauricio continued. So ideally, it will be at least another 25 years, if not 50.”

A Judge Determines That Brian Wilson Of The Beach Boys Need Conservatorship Due To Mental Deterioration.

Los Angeles — Brian Wilson,  Due to what his doctor refers to as a “major neurocognitive disorder,” a judge determined on Thursday that Beach Boys founder and legendary musician Brian Wilson should be placed under judicial conservatorship to govern his personal and medical decisions.

Following the death of his wife, Melinda Ledbetter Wilson, in January, who was in charge of the majority of his affairs and chores, the 81-year-old Wilson’s family and inner circle filed a petition, which Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gus T. May granted during a hearing.

During the brief hearing, May stated, “I find from clear and convincing evidence that a conservatorship of the person is necessary.” The judge found that Brian lacks the capacity to make decisions about his own health care, and the evidence supports his assent to the arrangement.

May named manager LeeAnn Hard and publicist Jean Sievers, two seasoned Brian aides, as his conservators.

No substantial complaints were voiced.

Through their attorney, Carnie and Wendy Wilson, two of Wilson’s seven children and members of the musical trio Wilson Phillips, requested that all of the children be included in a group text chain regarding their father and that they be considered when making medical choices. The judge accepted the agreement.

At a hearing on April 30, the two daughters had requested a postponement of the proceedings while the difficulties were resolved; nevertheless, it was evident during the hearing that a consensus had been achieved.

Wilson is receiving medicine for dementia, has a “major neurocognitive disorder,” and “is unable to properly provide for his own personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter,” according to a doctor’s affidavit that was filed with the petition in February.

Sievers and Hard have maintained strong contact with Brian and his spouse for many years. According to a report written by Robert Frank Cipriano, the lawyer the court assigned to defend Wilson’s interests, Wilson acknowledged the need for the conservatorship. Brian also expressed confidence in the two women’s judgment.

According to Cipriano’s report to the court, Brian lives with two kids and a long-term live-in caregiver at his “impeccably well maintained residence in Beverly Hills.”

According to Cipriano, Wilson has a decent understanding of who he is, where he is, and when he is. He can move around with assistance from a walker and the caregiver, but he is unable to name any of his children other than the two who live with him.

According to him, Brian “was largely difficult to understand and responded to questions and comments in very brief ways.”

Wilson’s broad approval, according to Cipriano, was a major factor in his approval of the conservatorship.

Following their marriage in 1995, Brian praised Ledbetter for stabilizing his well-known turbulent life. The two had met in the mid-1980s.

According to a family statement, Brian, his seven children, his caregiver, and his doctors conferred before the petition was submitted. To guarantee that “there will be no drastic changes” and that “Brian will be able to enjoy all of his family and friends and continue to work on current projects,” the decision was made, according to the statement.

In California, judges have the authority to choose a conservator for an individual, their assets (also known as the estate), or both, as was the case with Britney Spears. Legislative changes were sparked by Spears’ case, which raised awareness of conservatorships—also known as guardianships in some states—most of it unfavorable. Wilson’s situation is more in line with the conventional use of conservatorships, which are frequently established for elderly individuals experiencing permanent mental impairment.

Since Hard is a trustee of the trust in which Wilson’s assets are placed, the Wilson petition did not ask for a conservator of the estate.

Regarded as a great inventor of vocal harmony and a co-founder, producer, arranger, and principal songwriter of the Beach Boys, Wilson’s career was completely turned upside down in the 1960s due to his struggles with mental health and substance misuse.

In 1988, he was admitted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside his bandmates, which included his cousin Mike Love, siblings Carl and Dennis, and brother.

Tom Selleck Examines The Challenging Times That Led To His Success In “Magnum, P.I.” In A New Memoir.

AP News - VOR News Image

NEW YORK — Tom Selleck opens his autobiography amid an accident. When he and his two pals take off in his mother’s red Chevy Corvair and tumble down Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles, he is seventeen years old and sitting in the passenger seat. Although everyone would finally be alright, it’s a terrifying experience and a special way to begin a look back.

In an interview, the “Magnum, P.I.” and “Blue Bloods” star acknowledges that it’s a strange way to begin. “It seemed like the ideal way to take a brief look back and discuss my upbringing through the traumatic accident and its aftermath.”

“You Never Know” chronicles Selleck’s time at the University of Southern California, his time in the Army, as Bachelor No. 2 on “The Dating Game,” and several other events leading up to his Emmy and long-lasting popularity as Thomas Magnum.

According to the 79-year-old actor, “didn’t have one of those headline-grabbing lives,” The Associated Press reports. “Getting into these stories in a way that the reader could get inside my head was the only way I could make the book entertaining, and I think that’s my primary job and goal in this book.”

Selleck penned the work by hand on yellow legal pads for four years, using passages from Raymond Chandler and George Will. He used to write in the afternoon and read his letters to his spouse at supper.

The self-portrait that emerges is of an actor who dedicated himself to honing his art. He completed six unsold pilots and his first major motion picture, the regrettable “Daughters of Satan,” before breaking through in his mid-30s.

Ellis Henican, Selleck’s co-writer, argues that sincerity is what Selleck needs to sell the most. “This guy is aware of who he is.” By staying true to himself over several decades, he has made a very successful career in a challenging industry.

Selleck states that he never intended to write a memoir or divulge embarrassing personal information, but he does discuss the specifics of his covert marriage to Jillie Mack, his second wife, whom he first saw performing in “Cats.” (Yes, Rumpleteazer won his heart.)

“There are many topics that I haven’t discussed and many topics that others have discussed that aren’t really true,” he claims.

Readers will learn that Selleck, who rose to fame for his polished demeanor, sense of humor, and 6-foot-4 matinee idol appearance, occasionally struggled with doubts and insecurities; as he said in his essay, “That critic on your shoulder is a formidable opponent.”

He explains, “I wanted to speak to young actors in the language of our business.” “The road is not easy. When someone declines 99 percent of the time, your product is you.

Interestingly, Harrison Ford was offered the role of Indiana Jones in “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” yet he had to turn it down due to his filming schedule for “Magnum, P.I.” Both may have been accomplished thanks to a Hollywood strike, but Selleck is content, saying in his letter that “my only regret was that the what-if was there from time to time.”

From 1980 until 1988, Magnum, a relaxed detective who had served in the Vietnam War and driven a red Ferrari around Hawaii, was shown on television.

In the 1984 episode “Home from the Sea,” Magnum drifts in the Pacific Ocean by himself until he is rescued while speaking with people from his past; Selleck wins an Emmy. “Dad, I made it. The character asks his father, who was shot down over Korea in 1951, deliriously, “Why didn’t you?” He was forced to host the ceremony the year he won an Emmy.

I still had a portion of me in host mode. I snatched up my Emmy and hurried up to my host’s podium. It was the first time I gazed at the cheering crowd after setting down my Emmy. He writes that the cheering became louder and lasted longer than I had anticipated when I finally did.

Throughout his career, Selleck took risks. He turned down a stable role on “Young and the Restless” and showed up for work on the 1979 TV miniseries “The Sacketts,” despite the director explicitly stating that he didn’t want him.

“My willingness to take risks as a human is what makes me most proud. Although they didn’t always work out, they did so frequently, he claims. “Risk is the cost associated with opportunity.”

Other celebrities are also featured in portrait form, including Carol Burnett, Princess Diana, and Frank Sinatra, who acted in “Magnum, P.I.” and displayed his acting prowess and fury while managing a colostomy bag.

The final few chapters of the book are where fans of “Blue Bloods” will learn that Selleck was the driving force behind the original show’s decision to focus on characters rather than a procedural, as it had been in the pilot. The show is in its fourteenth season, and he won. “can’t be that lucky twice,” he writes.

According to Selleck, he approached his work as a bricklayer by making sure every task was completed to the utmost standard before proceeding to the next. That was OK if it meant putting off budgets or scripts.

His statement reads, “My idea of the work wasn’t just showing up and getting paid.” “I always made an effort to conduct myself professionally. You know, like not tossing scripts against the wall and having tantrums.”

TikTok Will Start Labeling AI-Generated Material When Technology Becomes More Mainstream.

Published

When submitted from outside its platform, TikTok will start categorizing content using artificial intelligence.

TikTok claims its initiatives are intended to counteract misinformation on its social media platforms.

“AI enables incredible creative opportunities, but it can confuse or mislead viewers if they don’t know the content was AI-generated,” the business said in a prepared statement Thursday. “Labeling helps make that context clear—which is why we label AIGC made with TikTok AI effects, and have required creators to label realistic AIGC for over a year.”

The move is part of a larger effort by individuals in the technology industry to strengthen protections for AI use. Meta stated in February that it was working with industry partners to develop technical standards to make it easier to identify photos and, eventually, video and audio generated by artificial intelligence algorithms. Facebook and Instagram users could read labels on AI-generated photographs in their feeds.

Last year, Google said AI labels would be coming to YouTube and its other services.

In October, US President Joe Biden signed an executive order promoting digital watermarking and labeling AI-generated content.

TikTok announced collaborating with the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity to leverage its Content Credentials platform.

The company claims that the technology can attach metadata to information, instantly recognizing and categorizing AI-generated content. TikTok announced Thursday that it began using the feature on photos and videos and will soon expand to audio-only content.

In the future months, material Credentials will be tied to TikTok material and will remain on it when downloaded. This will let people recognize AI-generated material on TikTok and determine when, where, and how it was created or altered. Other platforms using Content Credentials will be able to automatically label it.

TikTok claims to be the first video-sharing platform to use the credentials and will join the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative to assist in boosting their adoption throughout the industry.

“TikTok is the first social media platform to support Content Credentials, and with over 140 million users in the United States alone, their platform and their vast community of creators and users are an essential piece of that chain of trust needed to increase transparency online,” Dana Rao, Adobe’s executive vice president, general counsel, and chief trust officer, wrote in a blog post.

TikTok’s previous policy encouraged users to flag AI-generated or drastically modified videos. Now, the company requires users to label any AI-generated content, including realistic visuals, audio, or video.

“Our users and creators are so excited about AI and what it can do for their creativity and their ability to connect with audiences,” Adam Presser, TikTok’s Head of Operations, Trust, and Safety, told ABC News. “At the same time, we want to make sure that people have that ability to understand what fact is and what is fiction.”

The announcement first appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday.

TikTok’s AI actions come just two days after the company announced that it and its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, had filed a lawsuit challenging a new American law that would prohibit the video-sharing app from operating in the United States unless sold to an approved buyer, claiming that it unfairly singles out the platform and is an unprecedented attack on free speech.

The complaint is the latest development in what appears to be a protracted legal battle for TikTok’s future in the United States — one that could end up before the Supreme Court. If TikTok loses, it says it will be forced to close next year.
