David Lee Roth Unloads Over Wolfgang Van Halen “This F—in’ Kid”

Published

on

In a YouTube video uploaded on Wednesday, David Lee Roth, a founding member and frontman of Van Halen, voiced scorn for Wolfgang, the band’s bass player and son of the late Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli.

The Van Halen vocalist slammed the 32-year-old musician, who not only served as the band’s bassist for several years but is also the son of the late Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli, in an audio recording posted to his YouTube page on Wednesday.

Among his criticisms, Roth listed two instances in which he thought Wolfgang demonstrated bad judgment while the group was on tour.

Roth began his vocal storm with a thinly veiled swipe at Wolfgang for gaining his place in Van Halen through nepotism in a fake interview with Jesus Christ. Roth expressed his true views regarding Wolfgang.

“This fucking kid!” “He’s been complaining the entire tour that I’m not paying enough attention to him on stage,” he explained. “I’m giving him the best, everything I’ve got, in front of twenty, thirty thousand people at a clip, and he’s complaining to everybody around me — the business manager, the security guy, the clothing lady — ‘Dave’s not paying enough attention to me.'”

Roth then alleged that Wolfgang once ejected his guests from one of the group’s New York City gigs. “This schlemiel kid,” he added, referring to his old friend as a “fool” in a Yiddish accent, “has commandeered a couple of monkeys to go in back, behind my back, over to the side of the stage and throw out these two great dames that I invited to be my guests to the show.”

“This Fuckin Shtick Kid”

Roth indicated that the women were more than simply his special guests. “You won’t believe this shtick. “This fuckin’ kid doesn’t realise that these two ladies work for the accounting firm that represents him, not me,” he continued. “But as usual, he stiffed them for tickets just like his uncle and uncle’s brother.”

“He’s teaching me a lesson,” Roth explained. “What does this fucking kid not know?” They’re carrying the paychecks for all 82 members of the road crew.

Roth then claimed that Wolfgang kicked out guests again while the band performed in Los Angeles. “We’re at the Hollywood Bowl, I’m about to launch into ‘Ice Cream Man,’ and this fucking kid!” he yelled out.

“He commandeers two muscular monkeys and locates the lady who is my guest. She’s off in the wings of the Hollywood Bowl; they discover her, force her to walk the walk of shame past all the other guests and out into the parking lot, and hurl her out the building.”

“Wolfie Van Halen’s gonna teach me a lesson by throwing out what he thinks is my girlfriend,” he said. “Guess what? Not only is she an accountant again, and she is carrying the paychecks for all 82 of us on the road crew, but she is also carrying cash bonuses for everyone.”

He concluded, “You might want to pull over on this next one—you’re going to pee your pants. Remember New York City? It’s the same fucking lady. This fucking kid. “This fucking kid.”

Van Halen’s members have always had distinct — and often tense — ties with one another. Roth previously quit the band to pursue a solo career after the success of their album 1984.

Roth returned briefly in 1996 before taking over as frontman again from 2007 to 2020. Eddie replaced founding bassist Michael Anthony with his son, Wolfgang, in 2006, causing even more controversy.

Wolfgang performed with Van Halen until the band separated in 2020 following his father’s death. He then formed his band, Mammoth WVH, and released their debut album in 2021.

Inglewood, California – Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth “Pop Out” event at the Forum became an emotional live-streamed celebration of Los Angeles unity rather than simply taking a victory lap after defeating fellow rap artist Drake.

Lamar organized a three-hour event that included a combination of up-and-coming LA rappers and stars such as Tyler, The Creator, Steve Lacy, and YG. When it came to his turn to take the stage, the 37-year-old rapper pushed through a set with Black Hippy collaborators Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock, performing his Drake diss songs “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA,” before being joined on stage by Dr. Dre.

The two West Coast titans played “Still D.R.E.” and “California Love” before Dre called for silence to calm the raging crowd. It was a misdirect. He then gave the “Sixth Sense” phrase that opens Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us”: “I see dead people.”

A crowd of 17,000 people, including The Weeknd, LeBron James, Ayo Edebiri, and Rick Ross, rapped along to every word of the biting-but-jubilant DJ Mustard track, which Lamar resumed twice after the first verse and repeated four times in total.

NBA stars Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan, Mustard, rapper Roddy Ricch, and even a juvenile dance group led by krumping inventor Tommy the Clown were shuffling, frolicking, dancing, and twirling around him as Lamar approached the stage in a red sweatshirt.

Lamar delighted in the situation, saying, “Y’all ain’t gonna let nobody disrespect the West Coast.” “You’re not going to let anyone imitate our legends, huh,” he asked, referring to Drake’s usage of an AI program to mimic 2Pac’s voice on one of his diss tracks.

But Lamar had bigger plans, inviting select men and women to join him onstage for a group portrait.

“Let the world see this,” he urged. “For all of us to be on this stage together, unity, from the East side… LA, Crips, Bloods, Piru— this… is great, dude. We put this together exclusively for you guys.

“This… has nothing to do with any song at this time, nothing to do with any back-and-forth albums; it has everything to do with this particular moment. That’s what this… was about bringing us all together.

After the final song, Lamar exited, stating, “I promise you, this won’t be the last of us.” The slicing horns of the “Not Like Us” instrument rang out again, and the audience rapped the words without Lamar as they flowed down the hallways and out to the parking lot.

A crowd rush murdered ten people during Scott’s 2021 concert at Houston’s Astroworld festival. Many attendees could not breathe or lift their arms due to the crowd’s density. The victims, aged 9 to 27, died from compression asphyxia, which an expert compared to being crushed by a car.

Lawyers for the victims claimed in lawsuits that the deaths and hundreds of injuries at the concert were caused by poor planning and a lack of regard for the event’s capacity and safety.

Scott, promoter Live Nation, and the others sued have refuted the allegations, claiming that safety was their priority. They claimed what happened could not have been predicted.

The final lawsuit was resolved last month.

According to Williamson County & Fire, a fire broke out in Carrie and husband Mike Fisher’s garage just before 10 p.m. on Sunday evening, Father’s Day. Responders were able to extinguish the fire fast thanks to a 10,000-gallon water tank… situated on the singer’s estate.

Williamson County Fire & Rescue published an update in the aftermath of the fire, including a few images from the area, which appear to be quite dramatic.

Hey, added… “Almost instantly, the call was upgraded to a structure fire. Crews from each of our eight stations responded… Firefighters continue to extinguish hotspots to avoid further spread. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. There are currently no injuries.

While it was a sad way to end Father’s Day, Carrie had a relatively serene Sunday afternoon, posting photos with a couple sheep on Instagram Stories.
