NFL Receiver Randall Cobb Thanks Firefighters For Saving His Family From A House Fire
Nashville, Tennessee – Randall Cobb, a veteran NFL wide receiver, has thanked Nashville firefighters for saving his family following a house fire.
Cobb posted a statement and video on social media Wednesday stating that his family, including their dog, is safe and healthy. Cobb expressed gratitude to the fire department for their rapid response.

“I can’t get the image of the brave firefighter getting into position out of my head; he didn’t even have water to shoot yet,” said Cobb. “I honestly feared the automobiles were going to explode, and we’d lose him in this disaster. “He is a real hero.”
The Nashville Fire Department did not immediately respond to an Associated Press message on Thursday.

Cobb stated that they were still determining what, if anything, would be salvaged. He praised close friends for providing a temporary shelter for him, his wife, and their children. His tweet featured footage and photographs of the home’s wrecked garage, including a vehicle, and a photo of his wife and children safely in bed.

Cobb, a 13-year NFL veteran, is now a free agent. Green Bay drafted the Tennessee native in the second round out of Kentucky in 2011. He spent last season with the New York Jets. He spent ten seasons with the Packers and one season each with Dallas and Houston.
